(4 of my colleagues, just from that 'first' wave, passed away. Several more too ill to work full time..) All forgotten by most.

As a designer - the second I saw the Dior book tote and what people were willing to pay for it - I felt like luxury and an understanding of what it meant was just totally dead. Considering the weaving technology that Dior has access to and the fact that a bag like that has so little waste because they can produce it down to the exact thread - they could have made that a flagship entry level bag - but no - they kept increasing the price and that just made me sick knowing the material cost of it couldn’t top $100. And to not even offer a small leather satchel or organizer to put inside - it’s like they’re just laughing!

Dior is owned LVMH . If they have these sweatshops made their bags I think they would also did it for other brands that they owned as welll such as Fendi and LV. Also it is very suspicious that there are now more Chanel bags made in Italy than France in the boutiques now. We should also investigate Chanel practices as well because 5-10 thousands bags for something that cost a couple of hundred dollars need to be stopped.
