Fonda, Reagan and Peck were great villains. Reagan was a natural.

Face in the Crowd is Citizen Kane-level perfect. Can’t believe that movie doesn’t get the same play as other classic Hollywood movies.

John Wayne's performance in Red River was fantastic! Like a Bligh/Ahab combo character. Glad Criterion is highlighting it here.

I would argue it's not against type to cast Ronald Reagan as a villain, but you do you, Criterion.

Anything that brings The Boys from Brazil to the Criterion channel gets an A+ from me!
@Mr.Goodkat5 сағат бұрын
Do you think they'll ever release a 4K or Blu Ray?
@kingofpointless5 сағат бұрын
@@Mr.Goodkat Not sure if it'd be considered a significant enough film for Criterion to do that, but maybe a cult range like Shout! Factory would do it.
@Mr.Goodkat2 сағат бұрын
@@kingofpointless But it's considered a significant enough film for their channel? I wonder how common it is for films to make it to the channel but not disc.
@kingofpointless2 сағат бұрын
@@Mr.Goodkat That seems relatively common based on what I've seen. I'm glad they do it though, because a lot of those films are also hard to find on streaming/digital (which Boys from Brazil definitely is, although I watched it recently on a good quality KZbin upload that's probably still up).

There's nothing like Leftists hating on Reagan.

There’s actually plenty like it. Right wingers work themselves into delirious fits whenever engaging in their two minutes of hate over any given member of the opposition. Get out more…

reagan may not have been popular with the snowflakes but... he did some things in america that was good. if it wasn't for him, my dad wouldn't have become a u.s. resident and we were living quite well. say what you want about ronal reagan but... at least he's not the ass-clown that we have as president and the human septic tank that came before him and that is coming back. oh, we're in for some bad times. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
