Don't switch to experimental. The coconut drinks etc are mostly broken and don't work. You will be switching for nothing until it is fixed. Wait for the next update at the very least.

As I understand, you can’t use the Gero to escape in the stable mode. Even if you see the items inside your crafting menu.
