Wow, if someone has to learn how to act like a progressive gentleman and still hide your true savarna colours like a chameleon, you must enrol in this man's class. On the origin of caste, he didn't even talked about the role of people of his own caste. Agreed that the division of labour was all over the world, but no where else the religion sanctioned disabilities like pouring molten lead in ears of lower caste or restricting them to menial jobs. Which caste wrote those texts, huh Mr Katju? Well you wouldn't talk about that would you. And lastly, merit over reservation is the ready made template. There is no reservation is Supreme court, how many SC-ST-OBC judges had it produced? And how many were from Katju's caste? How cleverly he is hiding that. Is it just a coincidence? He is talking about Jats and muslim society, but never about casteism by his own caste. Hypocrisy much, huh?

true, also turns a blind eye to the social benefits of reservation and believes that monetary help to the poor would remove prejudice while the current sociopolitical systems are the ones accountable for the spread of caste.
