Beautiful finish as always, Ben! I think you could have afforded to go a little more intense with the dye though, amber is very richly coloured.
@astrid64963 жыл бұрын
It was definitely missing the yellow tint and a little more orange, although I considered that may have been intentional because of the yellow from the light in the base. It definitely was closer to the deep, rich colour when the lights were out and the lamp was on.

Prediction for bonus video: While there may be a chemical “burn” at the tip of the match, I doubt any fire due to the “fire triangle” … fuel (match) + heat (laser) + oxygen = fire No air means no fire But still looking forward to the video

Wow great job! you really nailed the whole "died in the amber" kind of look. Quick science lesson for everyone, mosquitos (and anything else in amber) probably died of getting stuck in it. Before amber hardens it is tree sap, and very sticky. Anything climbing around on a tree may have gotten stuck in the goop and, if its flowing fast enough, would have been encased in it.

Thanks Mate and thanks for the info 👍

.-. Well I learned something today. I didn't really know what a crane fly was and I see them quite often, I always assumed they were larger breeds of mosquitoes and for whatever reason I see them far less. I typically don't harm insects unless they are biting me and they never have but I've always thought "but what if" it's good to know that it won't happen so I can just let them be or let them out.
