Wow, this incredible song really puts things in perspective. Christmas has been so commercialized, focusing on the food, tree, gifts, etc instead of the true meaning of this upcoming season. Rather all of that should only be a reflection of the Gift He gave us: giving up His Eternal Throne to come down and dwell among us for 33 years, and then die on a Cross for our sins, rising from the Grave, and ever interceding for us on the Right Hand of the Father. So may we always remember that He is the reason for the season! You continue to amaze me, Casting Crowns! Your songs are always so Holy-Spirit anointed! At least there is still the joy Christmas being celebrated. Towns are decorated. Children laughing. Sweet Carols filling the air - some good old ones, others just for fun jingle bells. In all this, men are still reminded of God's salvation, no matter how vaguely. The Light still shines thru the darkness. But Soon this will all be over. They will outlaw Christmas as politically incorrect, offensive to the godless. Complete darkness will take hold, if only for a while, till the King who was born comes with his host of angels to avenge his Name.

Angels we have heard on high may be one of our oldest Christmas carols~ possibly written in the 1300s... What other religion has such joy and love in music?!?!?
