Joss is a dick!! Yes a dick with a great story telling mind but still a dick. He basically fired Charisma because she fell pregnant, he treats people with very little respect. I've gotten opinions from a lot of British people about James British accent. They all thought he did a great job and many of them said it was years before they found out that he's not really British.
@meg_sz9 жыл бұрын
Claudia Cuttino Yeah, I'm British and I never released he was American! Then again, I know some people who say his accent is ever so slightly off, but I don't see it.
@Chelbelle19839 жыл бұрын
+Em979 I see it, I'm English and I see how it's off. I love James to bits but you can hear the American twang every episode he's in. He pronounces a lot of words the way Americans do, like 'cahhhhn't do that' and 'where's Dahhhhhn?' And it isn't a one off, he does it all the time. Listen to how Giles, who really is English, says 'can't' and 'Dawn', then listen to James say them. I'd say his English accent is a 7/10.
@meg_sz9 жыл бұрын
SenoritaTorres1 Ahh yeah, now that I've re-watched some of the episodes, I can see that. I agree with your rating! His English accent is definitely better than my American one at lease XD

+Em979 hahaha well like I said, his accent is fairly passable. Really good in many places but I just know he isn't really English, because of the pronunciation.

Willow wasn't just gay out of no where. She became attracted to a woman that she admired, like a girl-crush. When she met Tara, she was always saying nice things about her. ("She's a really powerful wicca!" "Yes, really!") That girl-crush then evolved. It was subtle at first and then was made more obvious when Faith drew attention to it in Buffy's body. Also, more time probably passed in the Buffy world than we saw. It's never always clear how much time passes from episode to episode.

I guess everyone has their own opinion on it..but I saw Willow's romance with Tara as being kind of gender blind..she fell in love with the person Tara was, the same way she did with Oz. Even when Kennedy asked Willow when she discovered she was into girls, Willow replied "it wasn't *girls*, it was *a* girl". If it weren't for the times she was referred to as being gay, it would definitely appear that she was pansexual.

She was definitely into guys when she lost her virginity to Oz. It just felt like the show was trying to make us forget that. She fell in love with Tara without even looking. Her love for Tara was gender blind. From where I stand, it's just hard to believe she was exclusively into women..it's almost as if the show was saying it was okay to be gay, but not bi and that people who feel attracted to both genders are obligated to choose one over the other.
@CalliopePresents3 ай бұрын
I don't necessarily agree with that. The episode where Oz came back, Willow commented that they could be old one day, run into each other and find each other again, so I feel like they left it open.

favourites from most to least as character 1st: buffy, willow, angel, spike 2nd: joyce, tara, anya 3rd: dawn How the actors portrayed their roles was what made the characters most memorable; with every little nuances there was the embodiment that truly made the characters real and endearing for me. *An aspect that I loved about the show was how the unimportant background characters became either an important support or main character. ie. jennifer calendar, jonathan, warren, anya etc...

Knowing what we know now about Joss not being allowed in a room alone with Michelle, the part about Dawn hits different. One, Joss's tone when talking about her has creepy undertones I didn't pick up on before and it's sad she fought to be on the show, then was probably very disillusioned and disappointed/devastated when that happened.

I agree being a Brit originally from North London myself. I have to say though that most things he did sound like he was. It was just certain phrases or should I say sounds that he wasn't able to get un-Americanised. Basically anything that was heavily "A" laden. Do you know what I mean? I can't explain myself well! Although "Can't" was one of them! Still I could forgive him as his skill at comedy and then drama was excellent. I preferred funny/snarky Spike though :-)

Also, I loved Tara but I hated that Willow was just gay all of a sudden. Nothing against homosexual people, but Willow was clearly attracted to men at one point..I think her sexuality should've been something that no one really mentioned, so it was up to us to determine what was going on there. After Tara, Willow should have just been single. It would've been an opportunity for her to learn to stand on her own.

Willow wasn't gay out of nowhere. Season threes Dopplegangland foreshadowed Willow’s coming out journey in the fourth season. There were other episodes too, but that one is the clearest for the haters. 🙂

Yea, I think it wasn't fair for everybody to blame Buffy. It wasn't Buffy's fault that Riley needed life or death action that fighting provided. That's why he went to the vampires & that betrayal really hurt Buffy. But I agree Buffy did have love for him but he just couldn't handle that she didn't confide in him during her time of crisis. We all know she would have confided in Angel and after she comes back from the dead she even confides in Spike.

Dawn really changed the dynamics of the show for me...too much. It wasn't long after that when she was brought in that I stopped watching the show. As for Willows lovers I always thought she should have been with someone stronger. Someone who would be her equal. Oz was okay, Tara was weak and I think Kennedy came close but if I had chosen a match for her it would have been Spike. That man was strong, sarcastic, witty and loyal and couldn't be beat.

Don't get so defensive, we all love BTVS here. For the record, I'm a woman but I'm not freaking out. I just don't think that the show did a very good job at portraying Willow as a lesbian. To me, it seemed like after Tara, they were just trying to avoid looking homophobic by putting Willow in a relationship with Kennedy.
