The sounds seem pretty arcade like to me. Hopefully the rod noise is tuned down because if my rod made noises like that I’d throw it away lol. Camera following the rod is super annoying too, ugh. This needs alot of work. Feels kinda rushed right now. Hopefully they don’t drop the ball with this game like the cotw release went.

I was in your boat @DienekesShade... pun intended. Actually was pretty excited for the game to come out a few months ago. I had ideas that this could be some crazy good stuff. But it does seem a tad too arcady and that dang big STRIKE thing just taking the... I was fearing when we hadn't seen any gameplay at less than a week away from release, other than the "walking out on a that little wooden bridge and casting once." I lost pretty much all hope this was gonna be the next big thing. Hopefully they do turn it around somehow.. but as it's looking right now.. that's a looooong road down the line. Sadly it seems as a big disappointment currently.

Foe a game that talks about realism and authenticity, it has a little too much Arcady-ness going on. Like... Tinkling bells sound when a fish nibbles at your bait. The STRIKE banner across the screen when you get a bite. and the fade to black and selfie cam when you are just about to grab the fish. Grabbing the fish and unhooking it from the line is part of the whole fishing experience.

It's cracking me up that the character doesn't smile AT ALL in the catch pictures. It's funny to me because I did a parody video of fishing youtubers a while back called "The Stoic Fisherman". Instead of screaming, "YEEEEESSSSS GET IN THE BOOOOOOAT" when I caught a 3lb bass (fairly unimpressive, but a nice fish) I simply deadpanned, "That is a fish." Stuff like that.

This is the first gameplay I’ve seen of this game and I’ve got to say I’m a little disappointed. It feels like the got a bunch of developers who don’t fish to make a open world fishing game but forgot to add the fishing till the end. Hopefully they can fix it up and make it a little nicer because I was really excited for this game.

I wish it was harder to catch big fish, it really isn't super realistic to go out and catch a huge pike, a pretty big bass, and then a huge rainbow trout back to back to back. Also, I think it would be a way better, more realistic game if it was just harder to catch fish in general, instead of every cast.

Im going to be honest. As much as I love theHunter and seeing what these developers can do when it cames to creating such a beautiful game, I am very disappointed in what i saw in this video. And I understand its an early access, but I feel like they haven't even tested their own game. It seems like you MIGHT be getting about 24fps at certain points. The UI looks like its an Xbox 360 indie game. Very arcade like or ever slightly cartoonish. The character model and equipment models are awful. Fish models are decent but could use some work for sure. And on top of these few things, all of the issues you mentioned in the video as well. If I didn't already know, you would NOT be able to convince me that this game is from the same developers as theHunter. Im just not impressed at all. I want to like this game, I really do. But it's going to take alot of work before I buy.

At the moment I'm honestly a little disappointed, don't get me wrong the game looks great. But some of the mechanics and the camera control is really bad. I hope they actually listen to people and fix these things. They said they would continue support for the game just as long as COTW so I'm hoping for the best. Overall the release is gonna be really rough if its just like the early access and there might be quite a few bad reviews. Hoping for the best!
