The hex tiles each having special abilities but aren’t shown on the tiles is a huge frustration. We all end up passing around the reference book constantly. They even include a different reference card but it only shows turn phase order..on both sides..

It's not even a book, just a single page, and I think it's easy enough to have the 7-10 tiles on the board memorized by the end of the game

@@basicsimp8798I am definitely not a child. It’s called quality of life improvements such as having a reference card in the first place. It makes it easier for new players to learn the game quickly

I have a question. If you use “run away” do you have to move out of the range of the attack? Or does it just let them dodge the move?

I just house rule it, if it's a "target player" then it's a dodge, if it's a "target hex" then the meeple moves outside range.

Can the shadow energy we collect on our character card, at the end of the turn, be used to collect spell card ? Or is just for character's power ?

if my meeples live in ancient rune hex tile, i can play attach spell to enemy or not. i don't sure. when i see pictures

So is the resource cost to add a spell to the spell book the same as it is to cast it? And then is it discarded from your spell book after it is used?

When you do reroll for 3 dice, those resources I first go change according to the new rolling or they accumulate?

Some rule questions Cast says to spend resources to cast the spell, do I have to repay the cost of the spell card to cast it? Can I reroll after I have spent resources? Why are there so many resource tokens if you never really use more than one or two outside of your dice Can I trade in a spell to buy a spell that is higher than 1 spell Lvl

Hey guys, I have a question: if I use a counterspell that allows me to move when I take damage by an attack, if I move beyond the attack range do I dodge the attack?

I don't know but i would say no, because it says "when you take dmg" so it already happened and then you move

If you choose to re-roll.. do you get to keep the resources from those initial rolls? The rules don't say anything on that. I imagine you wouldn't get to keep those resources, but i wasn't sure.... Lets say you make your 1st roll.. use some of those resources - can you use an AP to re-roll with those dice you already claimed resources with?

No. The original rolls do not count, and only the rerolled resources can be used.

Do spells get discarded once used or do they stay in your spellbook until you swap it out? 🤔

As a personal house rule, and to have counters be more meaning full, once a spells is used it's discarded.

@Jarb2104 the counters in the rulebook says to be discarded but the actual spells gathered dont specify. At first i discarded all cards used bc thats what my mental rule is too but one day, we had a friend over and they were reading the rulebook and usually the rule of thumb is to take the rulebook literally. Like in card games, if it says to you do, if it says you may you can choose to but it doesnt specify for those cards. Its worded in a way that sounds like you keep the cards and trade them out as your book fills if that makes sense. (Edit) Ex: in the rulebook it says: "each spell can only be used once per turn." But never says to discard once used

@@birdajet Yup, that's my understanding too, but it feels a bit punishing for anyone that is having a hard time getting good spells, hence why I house ruled to discard them. Plus like I mentioned previously, counters feel more meaningful this way, since you'll completely shut down a spell from an opponent, rather than just giving you one more turn.

I wonder if your meant to pay the cost of the card again to cast it. The cast action says to spend resources to cast. This would allow spells to stay in your spell book but be a big ouch if someone counter spelled you seeing as you might have just discarded another spell or shadow energy to cast it.

some shadow forms feel weak compared to others. dealing a stun to just your tile compared to dealing 5 dmg to any +2 tile by choice. stun itself is such a weak spell and you even need to use action points to get to a sertain player. freeze is more annoying and you can even use it on adjacent tiles.
