Great stuff brother. Love all of the educational content as a relatively new salmon and steelhead angler. I’m looking forward to an epic fall and winter season. Hope yours is at least as good.

Thanks and yes I hope it's a great fall for steelhead lakers and browns

Cruise around with traditional 2d sonar and look for where the bigger marks are positioned. If no sonar just switch it up between baits so that you’re fishing diff parts of water column and see what works.

What brings the fish up to the surface is the changeover or cold air. The surface temps begin to drop and the deeper water is warmer than the surface. So the baitfish also go up and into shallower water. This is why they move higher in the water column.

Love these videos, just got an order of your spoons a few weeks ago. About to give them a rip over by Michigan City. We need rain badly here so staging is scattered unfortunately.

Great video! Had the place to yourself ! Question...do you use a small swivel to connect leader to braid or a knot? Thanks.

Eric it looks so rough out there, how did you get your boat launched from Pershing in that kind of weather? Went out last weekend and was fishing deep, got nothing but gobies :(

Crazy to me that a small salmon will bend a rod in half and peel drag 😅

Guys practice ethics. If you are keeping the fish, bonk it first before you cut the gills.
