Amazing how much of a parallel experience you and I tend to share. Across the pond from where you’re at on the Michigan side we ran a charter boat. Never been a huge fan of trolling and always enjoyed the one on one bite and battle of a single rod in hand. Let my brother fill in on a charter as first mate one day. There was a 12’ aluminum boat parked at the marina and borrowed it to fish inside the interior lake the fish would run up into. Just casting and jigging little Cleo’s, myself and a young kid about 8 years old I invited to tag along caught 15 kings in 3 hours. My dad and brother running the charter out in the big lake caught 2. Nothing like the smack down whack down 20 to 25 pound kings when they hit feels like on lighter tackle.

Any of true pier heads Port Washington Sheyboygan and Racine can all be great at the river mouths casting plastics and jig heads or jigging spoons and casting spoons. But if you know how to use a sabiki and float fish or bottom fish with Alewives you'll do great with bait! Good luck 👍

No unfortunately I'm using the best technology I can. That would be like me asking to use a horse or mule to pull your boat and trailer to the lake instead of your truck.... use the best technology a available to be successful

No Unfortunately I'm always going to use the best technology or tools I have have to catch fish. That would be like me asking you to put down your phone or not text anymore and only mail your thoughts to your friends and buddies and call on a land line or pay phone..... wouldn't make any sense to do that but you still can if you choose. If you can't afford the technology my advice is get another job save your money and invest your money into the hobbies you love the most.
