Im trying to have my husband install one because our apartment is on the second floor and there are two doors that make it very difficult for the sound of someone knocking to reach us. I also find the butler bell very nifty. Thank you for uploading!

Be careful trying to make a hole at or above door head height you may find there is a steel lintel of some description, that interferes with the cord run

When in use over time, will the cord that is tied to the rocker on the crank rub and fray where it goes into the hole and through the brickwork ?

I was thinking that. Dusty too. Better to shim the hole with some PVC pipe. And aim to get the screws in the middle of the bricks. Not the mortar joints as shown. Because its likely the mortar will crumble and you will be in cheque mate.

Do you ship to the US?
@CastinstyleCoUk4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim, yes we do! We ship worldwide. :) All you need to do is change the country when you're at the checkout and it will calculate shipping costs for you.

Do you do a matte version? Not a big fan of shiny brass/ nickle.
@CastinstyleCoUk4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, I'm afraid we don't, we only have nickel and brass available.

At 12.04 he says that the cord will have to pull in a vertical motion, but he clearly indicates that it will need to pull in a horizontal direction. Also I am very surprised that the first thing shown wasn’t the decision as to where the bell was to go, and also where the hole from the outside would emerge into the house There might have been burglar alarm panel or anything on the inside. Otherwise - all very useful.

I prefer rope pull

Oh yes, we know which rope pull you mean, the internal rope pulls that the Victorians used to use call their staff upstairs.

Here's a tip, try moving the camera closer to the pullies to show what the hell your talking about............! Trying to fit one myself and had to watch this vid a few times to understand the pulley system Just a thought...........
