This show always made me happy because of their chemistry and love story, they had played it so well during all seasons... Beckett and Castle are just one they are soul mates. Stana Katic is responsable for giving life to a larger then life character as she is in real life, she inspired millions of viewers all over the world with this character, but also because she has a big heart, and she has na enormous talent and she is so sweet with her fans... This situation is really unfair she shouldn´t be treated like this. Castle without Beckett is just nonsense, I bet they will kill her in this season finale! But Stana is a strong girl and she will rise again and shine like she does, always...

I'd love to know how the execs/writers felt when longtime fans came out and said, "I'm done" after they announced SK was leaving. It was the original #cancelnetflix . It's like the new writers ripped up MilMar's end-game goal. The show itself would not exist without Beckett. In fact, the show is really about Beckett's life seen from Castle's POV. The hard truth is that they should have just ended it S7... Maybe show a flashforward of everyone's life for the last minute, then call it a day [series]

Firing Stana, as well as Tamala, was like a new owner (EPS) completely changing the menu of a beloved restaurant and expecting the customers to be OK with it. I mean, when you think about it, the entire show was about BECKETT seen from CASTLE'S POV. He started following her to "observe" for his novel. Obviously, it morphed from there, but the show would have crashed and burned so fast w/o her. Castle would be a completely different character. Spiraling out of control. What type of show is that?

In my book "budgetary reasons" = Nathan hates his costar and wants his own show. Stana was WAY more popular than him and his fat ego couldn't handle it anymore! I just don't get why they did it now? Why not wait until the season ended? The ratings already fell after last nights mess and it will just get worse...and quite honestly, I hope it tanks!!! I am only watching the remaining episodes for Stana, no one else. They can all go screw! After that, I'm done. I was shocked and saddened by the news, when I read it on yahoo. I think they should just cancel the show since they fired Stana, in my opinion. The show had a great run for eight years. Honestly I am not gonna watch the show IF it gets renewed, I don't want to watch the show without Stana because the truth is no matter what they do to change the shows dynamic/ storyline it won't be the same because the show is based on a writer and his muse, and not just a writer. Castle will always and forever be caskett nothing more nothing less. I become a fan of the actress when I watched castle and I have seen how talented she is and how much she made the character Kate Beckett came to life.. I truly believe she is a great actress. I wish her well and hope to see her in other projects, and also wish her luck in her adventurous journey. I will definitely watch her next tv show or movie she will star in. She proved to be a great actress.

Sadly, the Castle Show is still undone. There is 2 things that are still remained for this story. One is Castle 2 main paths will he be continued on as a Private Detective Dude by working with Kate or still become a Novelist Dude who write Books. And the Number 2 is getting to know more mysterious about Castle's Father and his Stepmother. If they give us the Season 9 Story of Castle maybe we can see finally Complete the Whole TV Series.

There's no reason to have a season 9 or anymore seasons of Castle if Stana leaves the show. Her or Nathan not on the show is like having Mark Harmon not on NCIS, he's the focal point of the show as are Nathan & Stana are to Castle. Might as well have this season's season finale be the actual series finale. I'll still watch season 9 (if they're actually gonna make one), but I won't enjoy it. But ABC is really pissing me off with their programming lineup, I don't want to watch DWTS, I don't find blackish to be funny at all, and I can never really keep up with Modern Family's annoying schedule of one new episode every 3-4 weeks.

+maria sous I'm just saying that it has been pretty obvious since the start of S8 that there would be major changes but I didn't see this coming. He's very egotistical, it comes across very clear. He couldn't handle the fact that she became the fan favorite and turned into a major star. And yes the fact that he put out that BS statement says it all. TV had had its share of widowed characters, but most of them had their wives/husbands dead as part of a characters backstory and almost without exception doing so during a series has been a disaster. The sitcom Roseanne slayed Dan Connor in the final scene as did The Wonder Years to it own, but Beckett's impending killing if it happens makes it into a class by itself.

from what I have read, the writers have 2 ending already made, depending if there is a s 9 or not.. 1 ties everything together and 1 is a clifhanger with them being in dnager.. I have a feeling they will kill her off
