If the MCU and Harry Potter were canonical, Thanos’s time stone could have randomly intervened with the time when Voldemort died (1997) after the moment Thanos snapped his fingers in 2018 to decimate half of all living things, thus the effects of the snap could have targeted a random individual from a different time period.
