The average person will never be allowed access to the other side of the gate of Castleguard Cave. Parks Canada pretty much only grants access to very experienced cavers. It’s a heavily protected area.

Oh man these videos just "feel" Northern Banff / Southern Jasper National Park!

Well, that makes sense, considering that's where they are 😂.

Oh man the shot of the flagging is amazing! Like this place is so far and so remote and so random and yet you find in this magical place some flagging. Love it. Also surprised there is any at all considering how few people make it into this place.

Yeah it was the only piece we saw in a week so figured it was there for a reason 😁.

Great video guys. So fascinating to see this part of the deep back country. I am so surprised how well defined the trail to the lake is,....like I am thinking 3 or 4 groups a year go through here...

I think the trail is well defined because of horse traffic. Not many hikers get in here, but there was a rail for horses and some bucked up firewood at a horse camp along the lake. So one packhorse train (last summer or the one before by the looks of it) will wear the trail more than dozens of hikers.

Interesting wonder if there’s guided tours? Loved rat nest tour in Canmore

There is not. Only a select few people have been allowed in, usually for research purposes.

There must have been a few people that got hurt or lost to have them get it up like that

Yeah maybe. A glacial river runs through the cave so it would be easy to drown if the water started flowing suddenly.
