Castles, Cauldrons, and a Harry Potter Hotel! ✨ | Vlog

Our visit to Alnwick Castle (which has human remains display policies as questionable as JK Rowling’s views on trans people), Bamburgh Castle, and exploring Alnwick! This was filmed in October 2024, but I hesitated to put it out because the audio is so bad because of the wind, I disagreed with Alnwick Castle’s choice to display human bones with little dignity or respect in the Constable’s Tower (some of their Pacific artefact panels were quite dodgy as well), and while I love Harry Potter, I heartily dislike JK Rowling’s terf opinions. That being said, I recommend Alnwick itself, and also you should read DMATMOOBIL (Ao3) if you’re in the same boat as me regarding Harry Potter. It’s written better. Crux was great too, and the Dirty Bottles pub downstairs had awesome food and drinks!
