I think it's missing a little fullness/saturation in the mix(thought the same about the mario kart one). It would have benefited from a little louder bass, and more mid and bass on the snare drum and acoustic guitars. Other than that, this is very very good. I might be quick to criticize the mix, but it still sounds better and more clear than I could manage to even record. Great job, dude.

I hate to say it, but this is pretty lifeless. His technique is great, but it's very mechanical. The programmed drum samples are kinda hard to un-hear, and a lot of the guitar work sounds like they just came out of a sample library - there's no real feeling or expression...just a human player-piano. Technically proficient, but soulless is about as kind as I could put it. Sorry, but I can't say I like this.

Leo Bernal Ah, how original. The 'okay why dont u do it?!?' defense. To be fair, I could. I happen to love this song, and I've been doing a lot of recording recently, as I'm creating music for the Mega Man X3 MSU-1 hack. But what I really want is to know why you're so butthurt over my comment? Sure, overall, I'm not terribly impressed by this composition, but I certainly didn't troll. As a musician, I observed some issues, and politely explained my point of view. What I said is considered 'constructive criticism'. I have learned that it is twice as important to know what you're doing wrong as it is to know what you're doing right. If all you ever hear is 'dude u rok', then there's no drive to improve, is there? I get that you like this version, and I'm okay with that. But I truly don't think there is any real reason for a fan to 'leap to the defense' of EGM. Not every 'dislike' is a 'I hate this and want you to die oh and I hope your dog dies too before your mom dies of the shame of having a child made of suck and stupid like you' comment. Sometimes, it's just 'hey, I'm not a fan'.
