thank you for this, i was struggling with part 2 of the final boss fight for about a week then i looked on google for a guide and found this video. After trial and error and dying several times i finally did it, this part and the second boss are the ones i struggled most with. Now i am going to move on to Belmont's Revenge i heard it was easier than The Adventure and i hope so

@@oof5813 thanks for the comment. this video here only shows speedrun tricks, but i also have a fully edited walkthrough video to help people to get through the whole game with leather whip only. (i wish you found that earlier, but at least it helped something). and yeah, belmonts revenge is way easier on the first time, because it's more of a one and done game, while adventure is rather for multiple plays and therefor the first time is the worst.

The real Take Away is the NEW Dracula 1 Glitch Strat for Low%! I figured out that for some reason the second horizontal shot from Dracula 1 on the right side always gets skipped and will never spawn to hit you. That way you can attack him 4 times when he teleports and 7 times after landing from the first jump to dodge his shot, followed by 5 more times on his next teleport spot, right before his first horizontal shot comes out there, so you avoid that too (including all lag from it!). But in order to get the kill on him in time, you need another 4 extra damage on him prior and i figured you can just barely get that by optimizing jump whips and crouches on his first spawn position to get 2+2 attacks in. (and btw you also save the lag from the far travel around the stage that the old Strat did!) All in all, it's a huge time save for Low% runs!

So if you damage boost you only save 17.5 frames? Get it cos the lag and you know what just subscribe :D

the damage boost is not to save time, but to get invincible for a short time, so that dracula doesn't hit you twice there and in the mean time you can get some damage on him... which then makes the fight end quicker, so the extra damage output is what saves the time in the end. because every hit counts when the bat flies away so quickly and only comes back after a while in this phase.

and it's not frames but SECONDS you save! 17x60 frames or even more in total, it's crazy in a speedrun!
