Gameplay of beating Castlevania without continuing. This is not a speedrun or TAS video. Is just me and my gamepad.

Even on Halloween, nothing's the same without Castlevania. 🎃👻💀

The data screen music was remixed and re-used for Harmony of Dissonance.

Just like Metroid and Legend of Zelda, this version - the FDS version - of Castlevania is way better. As a Nes gamer myself growing up, it is so unfortunate that it was unknown that the FDS version of this game was the original version.

How did you get the game in his japanese version the famicom disk system was only released in japan

Emulation on a PC. The Anniversary collection also has the 1993 version of this but it doesn’t have the saving feature or the data selection screen, and it has an easy mode. it’s otherwise the same

Is there a difference between this version and the USA version?

The only difference I see is the title screen, and that you can save your progress.

Christian Cerritos There only change in music is that there is that the title screen has its own theme. Don’t know about characters.

In the credits, when the fake actor names are shown for each character, the fake actor for "Simon Belmondo" is the name the player enters at the beginning.

So in japan they used to play castlevania 1 on the disk system until the cartridge came out in 1993?
@pepsicrusader5354 жыл бұрын
No they just had this the cartridge was released to the world It’s normal in that kind of thing
@TritnewNG2 жыл бұрын
@@pepsicrusader535 They did in fact release a cartridge version of this in Japan later in '93 and Legend of Zelda a year earlier, it's always been in cartridge form everywhere else.

What is the difference between this version and the American and European cartridge version ?
@Gurkgamer10 ай бұрын
The most notable one should be that you can save your progress into the disk, with up to three save slots. With the famicom disk system, the game also has an additional sound channel, so the game may sound ¿better?. I think there is some differences in drop item frequency that could change the perception of difficulty.

There is also the easy difficulty option. Why the western version omitted this is unknown.
