Maybe because it was my first Castlevania I played, but Harmony of Dissonnance OST is my favourite because of its atmosphere. Even with the original soundfont. Great cover !

@@QwertyGuy499 I'm quite fond of Skeleton Cave, Luminous Caverns, Center of Demonic Castle, Dark Covenant and Clock Tower Casualty. Sure Successor of Fate and Chapel of Dissonance are also good, but they are bit overrated, because majority bring up those songs when talking about HoD's soundtrack 😄

I second Skeleton Cave. I also really enjoy Knight Head (the boss rush theme), the File Select Screen theme, and Juste's theme, myself :)

The airiness or floatiness is one of the things that sets this game apart from the others IMO. The melodies are mysterious and distant, even in the catchier songs like Successor of Fate. Juste's movement and jumping are floaty and almost make it feel like the gravity in Dracula's castle is weaker. It really adds to the otherwordly atmosphere for me.

I absolutely *love* this. This is definitely one of the best tracks in Harmony of Dissonance, which itself doesn't get enough credit for its soundtrack due to the backtracking on the soundfont they used. But you've definitely done it justice!

hod's soundtrack was a hit and a miss. some tracks were great. but for every offense and defense you got luminous cave or the boss battle.

@@user-kc2fu8iw3v Luminous Cavern is one of the worst songs I've ever heard in a video game. It's laughably bad, even to the point where it seems ironic. Although that was probably the point lol. I just wish it wasn't so ear-grating considering the amount of times I had to go to that part of the castle.

It's not because the sounds are bad that the musics are poorly written. I hear so many people complain about the musics of HoD, I'm glad you gave a new breath to this overlooked soundtrack! Btw I really appreciate that you added the visualization of the notes. Adapting the track in another instrument becomes more simple thanks to you.

Mostly the ear-grating music. I find the music to be very pleasing, reminds me of the more chiptune heavy music older games had.

What the first guy said and the backtracking in that game is really tedious (due to the teleporter things only switching between castles and not letting you move to different areas) The two castles are hard to tell apart and the animations for the characters and enemies aren't that great The color in the game is really weird but I kind of like the way it looks

I was going to do my own version of this song, but yours is how I wanted this song to sound, orchestral as Castlevania is but Chiptune as the composer's choice was originally intended. They sound incredible together. I couldn't have done it better.
