The amount of times he was at 1 health but recovered, and then dying on the last boss... He just had so much balls in the way he played. I loved watching it. Intense and thrilling.

This has to be one of the best runs I've ever seen. So much talent, and such a good pace, but he decides to slow down to show us cool strats. He's also great at commentating - bravo!

Calling Trevor "trash" just makes me think Alucard paid the couch and runner.

That's really awesome that Arby's finally came out to GDQ. It was only a matter of time.

Tfw your name is Trevor and they keep calling him 'Trash Belmont.' 😣 Edit: "Trevor's got the length and the power"
@Charronia6 жыл бұрын
Amazing. They've invoked the name so often that it actually summoned Arby's.

Such an entertaining runner. Great run of a game I originally didn't care for (because of Angry Video game Nerd).

So Castlevania 2 introduces stores and day/night transitions and is less linear and Castlevania 3 reverts back to how the original game played. Does that sound about right?

@@mrwednesdaynight 2 years later, but note on Mario 2. Mario 2 (USA) is Doki Doki Panic reskinned. The true Mario 2 (JP) aka Lost Levels is Mario 1 kaizo, even beginning the hidden block = death trap think you tend to see in troll mario levels.

This game is so great, towards the end it really gets fun. It's hard but doesn't feel like you're hitting a wall like a lot of games including the first one.
@OrionAltHist4 жыл бұрын
Its difficulty is also a bit exaggerated - it's very difficult, but not truly impossible like some other games are.

In older GDQ's, it felt like people speaking up on the coach were doing it spontaneously, just to add to the run's information when they thought of it if and the runner themselves wasn't saying something. That sort of contributed to overall chill-ness of 2014-2016. Nowadays, couch-speakers seem mostly scripted. Which is fine, It's no big deal, they're only trying to add extra factoids to the run. But I always preferred the casual runners/couches, who also just happened to be knowledgeable about the game. They made for funnier runs, and it really made them feel like a bunch of friends hanging out just playing games quick.

"Trash Belmont"? the disrespect... 😡

Meh. Belmonts in classic games are super clunky. In the offset chance they're saying it with malice, it's hard to blame them for all the BS in-game deaths.

background of this game is Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse, but who is the role which speedrunner playing in this video ? is it a hack of Castlevania 3?
@kintozero31692 жыл бұрын
In Castlevania 3, you start with Trevor Belmont & can recruit one of 3 characters: Sypha the sorceress, Grant the pirate, and Alucard the half-vampire. You can switch between Trevor & another character whenever you want during the game. When you beat the game, you get a code for a 2nd playthrough, and it is harder. The speedrunner used the code for the 2nd playthrough & played as Grant the pirate. He talked about how many speedrunners use Alucard & differences in certain parts between Alucard & Grant.
