The skips are cool but dang when he's racing "normally" is the most impressive. I'd say next gdq should have two of these top runners competing in two-player mode

Honestly, I appreciate it so much when things go wrong in a run during marathons and the runners just go with it instead of being like "uhhh what is happening". Good runner, good couch, fun watch!
@Fs3i

And honestly, the result is great. The time would net him a Top 10 in this category, and beat every single one of the couch members. That's talent! He is so good at the game that most people who attempted this game can't beat a marathon run of him with bad RNG.

A banana is a static image, it covers a moving image which needs to update with the frame rate, so that could be why it reduces lag, but still strange concept!
@DanCicala
@DanCicala 5 жыл бұрын
I wonder if dragging the banana reduces lag because it doesn't do the animation for the exhaust, which is probably harder to render than the static banana animation.

Does anybody else still use the turbo drifting technique from this game in every single Mario Kart released afterwards? I only recently learned that I don't have to mash the control stick back and fourth for power sliding in Mario Kart Deluxe. :(

@RingTeam
@RingTeam 5 жыл бұрын
The first Mario Kart where you don't have to mash your stick to drift was Mario Wart Wii, I guess they made that decision because Nintendo wanted a more accessible game, or probably because they knew about the snaking technique from Mario Kart DS.

Well, yeah, his name is Koopa in Japanese. The Koopa Troop is just named the Kame-ichizoku, or Turtle Tribe, in the original Japanese, with Koopa Troopas themselves being name Nokonoko. The English translation of SMB1 changed all this for whatever reason - likely because Bowser sounds a lot more threatening than Koopa, and naming his army of Koopa Troopas the Koopa Troop is a lot slicker than just trying to use their original names in English - and it's just stuck forever.

damn even in this 20+ year old game there's rubberband. I really wish there was a way to turn it off (at least in for fun races) just so there would be more Competition between the AI in each race. It's always the same 2 on top and the same 2-4 on the last few ranks, at least in the Mario Karts I've played. I generally dislike Rubberband and I understand why it's a thing but that doesn't Change my opinion about it. lol.
