Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (Carrie, Hard)

Carrie playthrough on Hard Mode.
It is actually pretty damn hard: hardly ANY Roast Beef and Gold to pick up. If there is gold, it is going to be 100 Gold. Some Roast Chicken. Some bosses have one-hit kills (big skeleton boss with the club swings and the bull boss with the charge that is pretty hard to dodge.) Aggressive enemies, mainly Bone Pillars. The Magical Nitro segment is so troll. Villa stage? Chainsaw takes off a LOT of health.
Since I was getting a BIT bored of this game and I don't like the Magical Nitro segment (those goddamn Bone Pillars), I stuck with the Holy Water. It's too damn good.
No Renon fight. NOW I know it is MORE than 30,000 and not exactly 30,000. I knew i should've got that one destroyable thingy with the green gold bags in the Clock Tower...

Man, I never know a whole different version of this game existed! This blew my mind when I stumbled upon this playthrough. Watched the whole thing & damn does this version look a lot more difficult. Even better, the game looks polished as hell the whole way through. Castlevania 64 was real lackluster past the Castle Center stage & felt incomplete overall. I want to play this. Would be a nice trip down memory lane & a new experience for me at the same time. Castlevania 64 is one of the very first games that I played in my life.

Always loved Carrie in the N64 Castlevanias. Both her gameplay and her background story were much more interesting, and I felt her good ending was better too. Reinhardt has the typical cliche Belmont ending, which is fine considering his background, but Carrie's ending, though bittersweet, was a far more satisfying and wholesome conclusion to her story.

The first was incompleted, terrible camera and awful controls, but, if you play LEgacy, they improved the game and they correct those errors This is the game that they promised.

@@dennistaylor5065 The original has control problems. Movement is stiffer and sometimes your character will just outright refuse to grab a ledge and fall to their deaths. LoD rectifies the camera and control issues the original had, streamlines some of the levels (Clock Tower, Tower of Execution and Tower of Science are much, much better in LoD) and feels like a much more polished game overall.

I couldn't get passed the first level on hard. I never found a way to dodge the final boss' attack. Frankly though I suck at Video games and usually can't even get passed a game except on the Easiest setting.
