Castlevania Lore: Julius Belmont

The only logical explanation for Julius Belmont being in Control of the Vampire Killer is the fact that Jonathan Morris and his childhood friend Charlotte have found a way to free Stella and Loretta Lecarde (Eric Lecarde's Daughters) from the vampiric curse and as a result, the 2 sisters revealed to Jonathan a way to lift the curse of the Belmont Bloodline, Jonathan being a distant relative of the Belmont Clan. Jonathan Morris (events of Portrait of Ruin) had to defeat the Vampire Killer's last wielder Richter Belmont. By relying on his own strength and abilities, Jonathan Morris was able to defeat Richter Belmont's memory, thus lifting the curse of the tainted Bloodline. Now, that the Vampire Killer accepted Jonathan Morris as it's master, he and Charlotte would defeat Dracula, wielding the Vampire Killer. After the Events of Portrait of Ruin, Jonathan Morris, made it his mission to track down the Belmonts and return the Vampire Killer to its rightful owners. In his 60s, Jonathan Morris found Julius Belmont some time in 1989. Jonathan took the boy under his wing and began to teach him everything he has learned over the years, slowly turning Julius into a force to be reckoned with. And this is how the Vampire Killer found its way from the Morris Clan, back to the Belmont Clan. With his mission accomplished, Jonathan Morris left the Belmonts and lived the rest of his days and eventually died a happy man.

The vampire killer whip wouldnt let the Belmonts use it after Richters fall. So the family they passed it too was a branch family to the Belmonds. It was a memeber of that branch family that trained Julius as well

Few things. Richter wasn’t “corrupted”, he was possessed there’s many pieces of evidence that corporates this such as how Shaft slowly starts to talk out of his Richter voice in the unused ending. How in the Dracula X Chronicles, a lot of sentences like “Servants come forth from the gates of hell! Attack rid my castle of this pest!” Are Shaft lines from the remake, which directly show that it was Shaft being the one who was talking. Another deal on the “cleansing theory” is that Soleiyu Belmont did the same exact thing in being cursed, and then trying to revive Dracula and this did not “taint” the bloodline. Also with your Julius about your “castle cracking”. Soma said that the power Julius showed in that fight didn’t even match the power of a Belmont, let alone a Vampire Hunter. This means that anyone could have done that Castlecracking attack. Julius holding back, and that grand cross are actual child’s play in comparison to actual Vampire Hunters and the Renard’s. Not saying that Julius isn’t strong, but pointing this moment out as a feat of strength is silly for a “”lore”” video. T

Wow he was born in 1980 like me. Looks like his clothes r a little old fashioned for modern times lol. In 1987 I first played Castlevania the arcade in a Showbiz Pizza and have been a fan ever since. It wasn't Haunted Castle but it was almost exactly the same as the NES version

U want to know why some Belmonts can wield Magic it's do Trevor and sypha when they got married and had their son Christopher Belmont they're magically Nyan ensured that their Bellator bloodline would be stronger than even them there for passing the bloodline with magic from sypha down to the rest of the Belmonts just helpin 👍

Great vid just a few things Some say that Richter Belmont gave the whip up out of shame, as he was brain washed. , and the whip IS made with alchemy, But it also house the soul of Sara Trantou fiancée of Leon Belmont. And that what gives the whip is real power, as it then had the power to slay all related to the vampires. Also not just anyone can use the whip only those who are distantly related to the Belmont's IE the Morris. Also the memory loss some say is due to the fact that the whip is connected to memories. this idea came about cos of the fact that the when a non Belmont wants to use the Whip, She/he has to fight the whips memory and win. the whip will be come the living memory of the last Belmont to have use it. Also both Dario Bossi and Dmitrii Blinov where not powered up they where both born on the very moment of the counts death. and that made them Dark Lord Candidates. But again really great Vid nice to see CV talked about more.

We felt that the whole "whip houses the soul of Sara" thing would require more explanation, which is why we just called it alchemy and magic. But yes you're absolutely correct, and everything else tracks with what we know. As far as Dario and Dmitri being powered up, we were talking about them being juiced over the course of the game, Dario is explicitly empowered by the cult leader and Dmitri is implied to get some juice from both she and his time in Soma. Thanks for sharing the knowledge! We hadn't found all of those theories about Richter and the whip, so those were cool to read.
