NO, I think you can save, but what I meant was you can't just use the 'data copy' option from the main menu. I think it might be a joke though, I just saw it on some internet cheat site, but places like wikipedia say you can't play as Maria in the PSX version

A DIRECT TRANSLATION of "Akumajō Dracula X: Gekka no Yasōkyoku" would come out "Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight", not "Castlevania: Symphony on the Night"! I consider Sotn and this to be two different games entirely, so what if they're TECHNICALLY the same game with differences (AKA not the same), just like X and Zero from the MegaMan X series are CONSIDERED to be Reploids, but not technically so, but nice try there, Rooky!

See, this is the Maria I THOUGHT Konami was releasing as a DLC char in Harmony of Dispair.... But no, we get the kid, 12 year old version that's already appeared in Rondo of Blood.... Man...I really wished they would have released this version instead... :(

In symphony of the night endgame alucard is stronger than maria though he does lack does invincibility frames like maria when using her blue dragon spell. Also in harmony of despair someone found a shield rod sprite in the game. So here's hoping konami gives us a treat and give the shield rod to alucard and not nerf it!!!

1) Why'd you wait THREE WEEKS to reply? 2) That "then" should be a "than", dummy! 3)No, it isn't, or atleast I don't consider it as such, because, A) SotN only has Alucard and Richter, and Richter must be unlocked, where as this game has those two, AND Maria, and all 3 are available off the bat, B) this game has quite a few more areas and items than SotN, C) SotN was released in atleast NA and Japan, but this game was Japan only, D) SotN was remade atleast twice, this game wasn't remade AT ALL!
