I had little dolls called Charmkins. Had the house which doubled as a carrier and furniture. I loved setting up the house and rooms and the Charmkins. As soon as I was done I'd close it up, shake it, and then start over!

Happy Belated Birthday Emily! I remember playing with my Barbie dolls a long time ago - and I would pretend that they spent a day at the beach, using remnants of towels that my mom gave me - for the dolls to lie on at the beach. Then they would go ‘home’ and get ready to go out for dinner, and change into their outfits. It was all about pretending. Miss those days!!💜💜💜

Your drama story with the girls reminded me of my daughter yesterday. We were at an open gymnastics gym session and two little girls started arguing. My daughter sat herself on the balance beam, turned to me, and said, I’m here to watch the drama. 😂. Little girls today are too funny. In Puerto Rico, we boast having the longest Christmas season in the world. Decorations are up on November 1st until mid or late January. Same with celebrations and parties. My tree will come down after the coming of the Three Wise Men on January 6th (Epiphany), when they visit houses and bring presents to the children.

I love hearing your stories about your sweet family. When you said your husband had a puzzle made with pictures of your children it melted my heart. Oh, and what a blessing that your children have such wonderful imaginations. I remember playing like that all by myself. Barbie drama, oh yes! I grew up with Mary Tyler Moore as a much needed role model. My Barbies had jobs, lived in bachelorette pads, dated Ken and GI Joe, sometimes got married, and the little kids were Pee Wee and Kiddle dolls. I grew up in Buffalo where we were inside with the weather a lot. Barbies would be played with my best friend ALL DAY. We would combine our dolls, houses and outfits. 😂 in the early 80’s my mom was a stay at home mom until I was in 2nd grade so we watched Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara and one other but I forget the name… so I basically recreated my own version of soap drama with my Barbies.
