The AIPAC and Zion!st lobby are bipartisan. So a bunch of her donars supported what Netanyahu is doing. Regarding Gaza, we also need Harris to win. "I want her to go further" says Emma, and I agree, but right now that may be idealistic. If Trump wins, we lose all ground to "let Israel do whatever they want". Harris has to win the election. I trust whatever she feels she needs to do to win enough support in the next 3 months to win the election. When she wins, then we push for a stronger stance against the war.

People forget that the democratic tent is so much more diverse than the maga nuts. She has to get as many progressives as possible, but also not piss to the centrists and the softer anti trump moderate and right wing. Beating trump is the absolute goal of her campaigning strategy. And she is still part of the Biden administration. So she is balancing a lot and it's got to be difficult for her to try and keep everyone onside.

This is definitely a TLDR post so please skip if not interested but one more piece of information that you may consider why Ramaswamy is more reluctant to criticize Kamala Harris as an Indian American, even as opposed to even other Indian Americans: Both Ramaswamy’s parents and Kamala Harris’ mother come from the same State in India, Tamil Nadu, speak the same language (India has about 25 languages, basically different State, different language, AND both are from Hindu families that are Tamil Brahmins, which is a very small caste numerically, but very elite - usually very religiously conservative Hindus - in India in terms of power, career accomplishments, and intellectual capital. Indians who are Hindu in India generally get arranged marriages according to caste and sub-caste so they may even be related (especially given that this specific caste is so small numerically).
