I'm a frequent reader of your columns, so the topics covered here weren't "new," but your gently self-deprecating humor is most welcome (especially in a milieu that can often be oozing with self-righteous "expertise"), and the voice quality and delivery are engaging. I just subscribed and am looking forward to more such recorded articles.

James: "Expired film is terrible." Me with my expired film collection: "They will never understand our love." I have not shot expired slide film yet but I've been looking into it lately.

I loved this. I don’t think I can do any better than my Nikon FE with my Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 and some fresh Portra160 or Fuji Superia400.
