I loved the inclusion of the carno’s camouflage from the books. It really makes the carno one of the scariest creatures out there since you could probably see and hear a trex chasing you, but a carnotaurus could easily hide and eat unsuspecting prey.

For some reason the people making Jurassic Park Analog Horror all seem to unanimously think "man eating lizard monsters" isn't a scary enough concept on its own, so they need to be sentient demonic entities too and all the video tapes need to be haunted for no reason. If one of these vids casually mentioned that InGen opened a portal to hell or Hammond was actually the devil, I wouldn't be surprised. It's just nothing but jumping the shark.

I like the approach this series is taking. Shows us that JP is a lot more gruesome and terrifying than the movies wanted us to believe. I theorize that the dinosaurs in these videos are aware of them being basically cloned imperfect chimeras, monsters in dinosaur clothing, and so are just playing the role set for them, as shown by the Carnotaurus here breaking the fourth wall and telling us his intentions. Meanwhile, the spirits of the deceased Park workers are manipulating the tapes themselves to reveal their own deaths, InGen’s complete lack of safety protocols, and the true terrors of the chimerasaurs.

Both the novels and movies tell us this, but the difference between the two is that, in the movies, they show them as typical aggressive and wild animals, while the novels kill people in a sadistic way.

It's such a disgusting disservice how the Carnotaurus started out as such a badass ambush predator in the second novel, having such a bad reputation in Isla Sorna that even the Tyrannosaurs and Velociraptors avoided the Carno territory. And what did the movies do? The second movie deletes them entirely, the fourth movie gave its amazing camouflage to some genetic abomination, and then when Carnos finally appear they exist only to be everyone's bitch.

The Carno "talking" is pretty creepy, we know that In-Gen would do experiments and make hybrids like in JW and that JP4 would have introduced Human-Dinosaur hybrids, them making a Carno that's conscious in a human way and can understand human language implies a LOT about what they may have been doing during this tape.
