I have got 97%ile in cat (Didn't get call from IIM ABC FMS and I have 90%+in X and XII (Graduated from Hansraj college with 75%+) . I want to make a carrer in management consulting but I'm afraid as MBB comes only to IIM A, B and C sometimes L and that too take only take top 10% students, my friends who are there told me so :( . Is it a wise decision to take a drop and is it true that most of the people end up leaving MBB in couple of years as work pressure is way too much ?

Hi, Could you suggest PGP vs PGPX in IIM for a person with 4 years experience in IT and want to shift to some other domain such as Finance or Consulting. Heard that summer placements are difficult to get with such an experience and people are usually asked to sit for placements along with PGPX batch. Everyone tells it depends or PGPX is better but worried if there would be even a slight chance of changing a domain if PGPX is taken.
