Hi Shweta, I have been thinking of doing MBA, and thus want to appear for CAT '22. I am right now an IT professional and have 2 years of experience, and by 2022 it would be 3. I want to go for MBA for two reasons basically, first to shift from IT to Marketing, and majorly for my interest in the latter, which have been there since early years with an inherent interest in advertisement and brands. Honestly, I wanted to ask you (someone with a vivid profile and an experience in the field) a question that has been in my mind since long, would the IT background have any dark imprint on my career ahead in the field of marketing, even after I give my cent percent to the MBA course? I really wanted your honest opinion since I have been hearing stories of recruiters prioritizing freshers over someone with a job profile in the past? Do we automatically get a call from iim abc after having a %ile around 98 or 99. Or do we have to apply before cat exam in iims or after?

You have to choose the course you want to do in IIM in the form fill-up process time and yes you automatically get calls from IIMs after you score high enough. Cheers

Dii I've been following you for more than a year, even before writing CAT2020. Last year, I knew I hadn't prepared that well and I was okay with it. I watched your whole list of videos and planned everything pretty well but nothing went according to it, my Grads exams came in between, they were held in July end, while preparing for them, I so wanted to study for CAT but as soon as the exams ended I don't know what happened it's been 50 days since then and I just don't feel like studying, I don't feel the spark that I had last year, I used to study 8-9 hours then and now hardly 2-3. I have huge dreams but I miss that enthusiasm within myself. I even stopped working out in July to save time and now I'm not able to start again that also. Sorry for spreading so much negativity here but I badly need a way out. I badly want to do it but I seriously lack hope.

Hi Shweta. I am preparing for CAT 2022 but I want to take CAT 2021 just to assess how I need to prepare and what are the things I need to look upon. I am also into a job, thus the time is very less. For Quants is it good if I solve questions of only LOD-2 for sections whose weightage are more in CAT (example- Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry) . Apart from this I would be giving mocks.
