Glad this helped you. Don’t forget to get CAT brand belts. That was the only way I could belts that fit correctly.

@@JoesCarSmartsNY I did get the Cat belts but the 272-7881 didn't fit my machine. I ordered the belts from the online Cat store using my serial number. After speaking to someone at Cat, she said I needed a different part number. Go figure. But, I tightened the AC belt, replaced the alternator belt and no more overheating (so far). Thanks again!

@@JerichoRally That’s annoying. Maybe there’s a slight difference in our machines. I guess the best way to get the correct part number is to contact CAT first with the machine serial number.

Awesome video man, I have a 305 with a screechy belt. Took a look a few days ago and though, this looks nearly impossible to tackle. Appears its a pretty simple process, great video.. I'd appreciate any other 305 videos you might be able to post. Cheers

@@stuart662 Sorry for the confusion. The CAT belts were correct. The NAPA belts I originally bought were wrong. To make sure you get the right belts 100% call your local CAT dealer with your machines serial number and let them sell you the correct belts.

Great video. Just bought a 304 that needs a fan belt. Going to replace the ac belt as well just like you recommended. The manual says remove the fan guard which looked like a pita. This was was much easier 👍🏻
