Evac. Evacuation, it's a quick attach fitting for the lube technicians to hook up their vacuum pump and empty the fluid (engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil etc) rather than having to pull a drain plug and try to catch it. That and you remove the change of lost or cross threaded drain plugs.

Check the VIN plate, I ran a 330C with a factory radio and the VIM plate read "Made in Japan". There's a big ship called the "Faust" that carries the big Cat iron to America, very cool ship to see.

@peebsb The comparison was done both digging and lifting a known weight with this machine and a 385C L using identical stick and booms. The second machine is a couple hundred yards away. SF is a nice area I was part of a Mythbusters episode shot on Treasure Island.

Well really the 800 is kind of out classed against the 385, the weight plays a major factor in bucket sizes and how a machine can dig. But at the same time, 750's/800's have amazing breakout force and have the ability to heap the bucket quite nicely. The 750 would compete with older Cat machines like the 375/385B. The 750 is just an older version of the 800. To compete with the 365 your looking at either a PC600 or PC650.

I kinda was figuring the 800 was a competitor so would you consider a 750 equal to a 365-385?, and now which one would you figure is more agile? I run the pc 750 and the 365 and im gunna go as much as I hate to with the 750 just for the extreme cold temperatures we run in seems to react better but then again a Cat is a Cat.

You have probably heard of the major damn projects that are going up in Northern Manitoba, Gillam Area, I wish I could upload the current video of our ol' rock that was blasted and stockpiled i believe in the early 70s from the Kettle, Long Spruce Dams which has been frozen many times, we have a 345 running that is basically ripping and loading out 3 400's for aggregate crushing and is out performing our PC600 and 650 soon as Im out of camp ill upload for you to amaze yourself with a Cat in -40

What I don't get about hydraulics on big construction equipment like that, is that every nook and cranny isn't used for hydraulic accumulators making it way more powerful and fuel efficient. The whole undercarriage and boom are made of such heavy gauge material they could easily be utilized. There's a safety aspect when having shitkickers dicking with stuff they shouldn't but on the other hand we need to clean out the gene pool sometimes.

I find it unbelievable that they can maybe modify things that were fine, but cannot design a liquid battle which doesn't crack! Kind of a must on these machines bearing in mind they hardly get a 'Valet' treatment every week. So yes that would be my moan, why not have a nylon or some plastic that doesn't fracture for the washer bottles?
