We introduced our cat to a friend's puppy and the PUPPY appeared not to know quite what to make of the CAT! (The cat wanted to make friends. We suspect he thinks he's a dog. He's lovely but a bit thick.)

Im here because me and my family are getting a puppy who is a few months old soon. We have a cat who is grown and almost old. We used to have another old cat but he died of old age recently. Our cat has never met a dog or puppy before so we are all very nervous. Luckily the puppy is a small breed so it may go smoothly who knows. Our cat is friendly with humans never once hissed at a human or clawed a human before. He has has hissed at other cats. But hasn't fought another cat. We will see how it goes lol.

And there are cultures where puppies are food for humans. You can go to the market, pick out a puppy, and after one minute, receive a paper bag with the lifeless body, killed quickly by blunt force trauma, all ready to take home, clean, dress and cook, with the leftovers being greedily consumed by the cat, in between its own episodes of violent bloody terror against the native small mammals unlucky enough to reside within its hunting range. My last cat brought home a Cooper's hawk it killed, missing its head if course... The next day I found her half eaten by vultures, by my west gate. She had been killed by a coyote. That cat, just a bit more murderous than by current one, would have instantly taken possession of most of those puppies and woe betide the fool who attempted to take back the screaming baby dog, as it's flesh was rended from bone and skin. She would make you pay dearly for such intrusion. Several coyotes suffered violent deaths by my .223 over the next week. They no longer enter my property as nobody kills my chickens but me! I left their heads hanging from my fence as a warning to their kin. I'm in Cali so my neighbors were as horrified at the sight as you would likely be... But they still loose puppies and cats. Do you eat meat or simply support the vegetable growing operations responsible for the poisoning, painfully slow deaths, and displacement of countless birds and animals of all sizes, thru the use of deadly force devices and legal chemical weapons? Do you purchase recognizable segments of muscle tissue, aesthetically displayed on beds of styrofoam, wrapped in cellophane? Or have you learned to respect and appreciate the sacrifice our food animals make, by performing the functions of restraining, killing, gutting, skinning and butchering a live animal, for food? Then cleaning the mess and equipment? Doubtful! Yet you are fine with wishing a rat's death to a human being! You are the truly sick individual here. Your twisted rationale is nothing short of a NAZI doctor or an evil twisted 10 year old boy from California who's been so screwed up in the head by his parents, school, medication and Wait Disney, as to find joy in torturing small animals to death in preparation for a life of voting Democrat and a four year university degree in gender studies science. You are a hypocrite. A blind fool living in a fantasy world of sunshine and roses, where every kid gets a trophy, and "dirty work" is something done by "other people" who you overtly despise yet are more than happy to take the benefits of their labor and close your eyes to the reality behind the evolutionary results responsible for those canine teeth in that nasty little mouth of yours. You wish for a horrific death to be visited on another person, because you disagree with their thoughts. That is exactly the mentality of the population of Nazi Germany in 1940. The same insidious mindset that justified and afforded the horrific deaths of millions on innocent people, each one possessing of the honesty derived by participating in the preparation of meat for food.
