Cat B Series Excavator Monitor G/A and PRV Backup switches system

Hi. I have a 1997 cat 312(added the same monitor I see in the video) I start the machine up, works as normal, throttles up as normal, in less than a minute the battery light goes on the machine and I have nothing on throttle control so I switch to manual to operate. Every time the battery light comes on, I have to operate in manual setting. I installed a new alternator, thought that would help but doesn't. The other different thing that I noticed is that when you switched to manual, the screen goes off, mine doesn't. Any thoughts? I'm a novice! Thanks!!

Is the software normally loaded on the screen itself or on the excavtor somewhere? I've bought a new screen for my 320b and it's not communicating with the machine neither is it showing any gauges. Are you able to give me any direction possibly?

My CAT 312 the buzzer sounds fuel good. Theres a red square box comes on beside the fuel guage right side? Would that indicate water in the filter? I turn machine off & starts OK and runs then maybe 10 min buzzer starts again? Any ideas

Hello friends I have a problem with a caterpillar 320bl excavator. -When I use the automatic mode the movement of the machine becomes slow and even the displacement. -Is this electrical problem or is it related to balancing. Thank you

Can you show how to do basics like changing the clock etc? Would help a lot to us rookies

Don't bother setting clock . Every time someone shuts the disconnect off it loses it's time.

@@hydraulics mine is correct as of now. It’s an hour off whenever it’s the “spring” forward time change. Our other 345B is way off. That’s why I wanted to know how to change it for informational purposes 🤟

I got the CAT ET it's limited but helps.

Last time I tried connecting ET to a 300B series it did not support it. I do have the specific cable but laptops rarely have RS232 ports anymore

@@hydraulics ET is limited anyway. CAT and Deere are not allowing customer to troubleshoot their machines anymore. I and many others are no longer a fan of either company. I am switching brands to CASE or Komatsu who supply all necessary scanners software . "Right to repair" laws in America are being ignored by many and farmers currently are suing Deere .. Contractors need to join suit against CAT and Deere. Excellent videos . Thanks

@@hydraulics I have 2014 to new CAT costs $970 for CAT service to come plug in a rip off. I am selling off and getting a different brand . I went to CAT dealer for parts ...They handed me Chinese parts!!! Enough!
