I just brought home a kitty who was starving dehydrated and almost dead. His spine was sticking up like a dinosaur. He was so sick when he first got here. I thought he was a kitten because he was so small. He threw up everything he ate and drank the first night. He had a zillion fleas. He just laid there for the first few days. I was so worried he wouldn't make it. I didn't use a chemical flea treatment or a bath because he was so weak. I just happened to have herbals that wouldn't hurt him to get rid of the fleas. It's now day 10. He has gained weight, his eyes are bright and he is the best snuggler. He is just a chill guy. He and I decided he should stay with me.

Wow, great story, You're a beautiful human being! i brought home mine 4 months ago. They're only about 2/3 weeks old. So little...and weak, because their mom has died (according to my neighboor who saw and buried a stray - female cat that died by an accident). At first, i didn't think i can raise them. Because they're too little. Now, they're such a troublemaker at my home. Three cute trouble maker.

Cool ! I was last care taker of family cat who made to about 22. My current cat just showed up and refused to leave. 3 weeks later I had 3 extra kittens! That was back in 2012. Woke up about 2 hours ago and she was sleeping on me! There have been times when she wakes me up at a stupid time so she can get comfortable to sleep! I get annoyed she purrs all is forgiven and I go back to sleep! Have never even been scratched by her!

Dark Glass my cat cant hiss she growled once and shes aggressive when playing because shes never been around another cat im trying to each her to lick me instead of (not breaking skin) bite because its easier to do this then just get her stop so sometimes we have no idea if she plaing or being serious

Bridget Doherty If you played with them using your hands when they were young, that teaches them that human hands and limbs are toys and so they get used to scratching, biting and slapping. It is hard to train them not to do that after a wrong socialization with hands. So you should play with kittens using toys and not hands. But to train another cat not to scratch too much, you can squeal when they hurt you too much and consult a vet. Good luck and have a nice day!

Never forget: the only reason cats act reasonably friendly towards humans is because humans are like 20-40 times larger than cats. If this wasn't the case they would most probably just eat you. They arent really pets. More like little killing machines that tolerate having us around. But we love them for it.

With my late cat Moe II. I played rough when he was a kitten. He played rough back. So much so, he would get my or my grandmothers legs at night if we walked into a dark room. He’d sneak up pounce and play bite. No hissing. No scratching. Sometimes he bit harder than he thought he was. I can tell you: he stalked the night. And he’d spook the heck out of us lol. We loved him very much. He’d always bug me for shrimps 🍤. I’d give him some. We still have the dog he’d play with. Yes some hissing. But he’d be giving Mandy (the dog) a bath ten minutes later. He’d hide behind the door. Mandy would walk in and he’d pounce on her. He was a loveable cat. There was this time grandma caught him humping a paper towel roll even though he was fixed. He couldn’t get off the thing. But he eventually did.

I have a lot of street cats in my area. I give them food.... And just a few days back one of the cat was killed by dogs and she left her only kitten with its first generation kittens who have grown up. And I have no clue how to calm it in the first place! And its my first pet care ever!

Interesting info. I am gentle with my cat, letting him approach me rather than smothering him (as the two other humans living here are wont to do). My cat follows me and waits for me more than the other two. Ok, so why does my cat bite me hard enough to draw blood and leave scars? He will even attack me when I’m not doing anything around him. Try playing a hunting game with him. You know the one with the string, until he's tired. If it doesn't stop maybe he's in pain and you should see the vet. Cats are excellent at hiding pain. Keep track of other behaviours as well to see if his routines (eating, sleeping, peeing, pooping etc) have changed because maybe he's stressed about something.

We absolutely LOVE cats! We don't have any money, the WTO has made it illegal for us to fish (but commercial fishing is legal!) and there isn't much wildlife on island, but there are a huge number of feral cats. We bait them with scraps of food an jab them with frog gigs. We try to catch them in the intestinal area, because unlike game animals, cat tastes significantly better if it dies a really slow and and agonizing death. We usually put them in a dug out hole and sound proof the lid using blankets because their noises of agony can cary for miles and it scares the tourists (not a problem during covid). After 3hrs or so, we really increase their stress hormones by jabbing them with red hot metal pokers, usually into their eyes and mouth. After we process the animal, we leave various parts of the animal out to attract other cats. Our family of 3 survives on one cat a day plus veggies. Our 3yr old loves jabbing the cats at the end, it's soooooo cute! Adult cats are our main staple, but we try to have kittens on special occasions. But it's a lot of work, because the secret with kitten meat, is torture torture torture, the more the better! Three days of agony for the 50 os so kittens and it's literally better than any food you can imagine. Guilty pleasures! Just kidding, I love my kitty. I would die without Miss Piggy!

I am taking care of two “feral” littermates. There were three, but one was killed. All female. I’ll do the same compassionate caring for any ferals I see, and will do my best to prevent feral kitten births. I adopted a 4 year old female cat from my local Shelter. She hid under the couch for 2 1/2 days. The shelter didn’t know her history. They had her spayed and she’s up to date on Vaccines etc. Do female cats Mark territory like males? Try removing your hand when he does that and let him calm down. Then take out your hand again, leave it relaxed and point a finger at him. Let him rub against it until he trusts you to pet him again. Best avoid the belly area or other areas he's not comfortable with

One week ago today I brought home a malnourished little kitten who was not used to humans and had been outside for a bit. The vet told me the kitten's a male and between six to eight weeks old and unfortunately had a belly full of worms. I toilet trained him and now he's starting to open up and behave like a kitten more each day. I have no idea where he came from, though it's not likely he was a stray (he didn't have any fleas). My assumption is that he's a kitten born from a farm cat or something and perhaps lost his way. He's staying with me now though and I'm learning much about cats (I'm a dog person) as little Murphy grows and becomes more comfortable and confident in my presence. I can't wait to introduce him to the dog, but that's going to be a while from now. First he needs to recover and get a little bigger.

I have some friends who have cats. They are the most unfriendly beasts I've ever met. I met one when it was a kitten and it was all over me and fell asleep on my lap. Now it won't go near anyone except its owners. I think my friends love that! When I see them I ignore the cats and the owners are always trying to get them to come and 'say hello' knowing very well that they won't. Shame because I love cats.

Does my cat understand when I protect him or keep him out of danger? For example does my cat understand when I hold back my dog from getting near or when I scare away other cats away. Also does my cat understand that the medicine I gave him made him feel better. When my cat got sick he was sleeping all the time and when I took him to the vet to get medicine after he started feeling he seemed very thankful In a away, maybe he was simply feeling better and catching up.

I'm in no way an animal professional, but it sounds like extreme separation anxiety, something I went through with one of my own cats. For her, time has given her the confidence to realise that she will not be abandoned, but with it being as severe as you describe, you may consider speaking with a vet or bevahioural specialist, who will offer techniques, training, and maybe even medication to help your cat.

Una volta una ragazza con cui io giocavo di nome Serena mi raccontò che un suo amico ammazzava i gatti... Mi trovavo in Puglia... Io avevo già salvato un cane un gatto un ragno un coniglio e altri animali... Ben prima di arrivare in Italia.. e dover spiegare la testa di fronte alle vostre millenaris cultura di evoluzione... Per cui oggi consiglio a tutti i popoli le etnie... Che arrivano in Italia e in questa Europa.... Poiché Io provengo da un resoconto un prodotto di assemblaggi di varie etnie... Prima che voi riusciate ad integrarvi... She is excreting a smell from her anal gland, which is why it smells. Cats do this when they are very happy or frightened. I'mguessing she must really like you petting her. My cat did this once when she was a kitten., she would also drool when I pet her.

mbs 07 yes. Despite popular belief thanks to movies, a cats stomach actually can’t digest dairy milk very well. You can get special milk for them from the pet shop which they can digest safely.

Love your informative videos. We have two cats we adopted after their mom disappeared before they were weaned. They are sweethearts but not affectionate and the female especially will not tolerate being held. That’s ok but I need an affectionate kitty and I’m adopting a new kitty whose mom is affectionate and is being raised since birth with loving human contact. She will come To me soon, she is 5 weeks old now. I’m a bit concerned how the two older cats will accept her. Any advice? We show them Lots of love, understand they have been traumatized but they are not friendly kitties.

Quando ero bambina... Mia nonna Patrizia era solita intrattenersi con una signora la gente del posto la ritenevano una strega... Non si faceva avvicinare da tutti... Il suo aspetto era alquanto strano... Era completamente nera... Con dei capelli indomabili sul grigio... Si chiamava dona aldenora.... Aveva un gatto... Un giorno una mia amichetta preso il gatto dalla coda... L'ufficio e roteare e lo lanciò... La mia prima reazione fu dargli una sberla... Lei mi spiego che il gatto era di quella donna e l'aveva visto mangiare i suoi piccoli... Io rimasi sconcertata ma la sberla gliela diedi lo stesso 🤣🤣🤣✌️✌️ arriva in Italia... Una volta una ragazza con cui io giocavo di nome Serena mi raccontò che un suo amico ammazzava i gatti... Mi trovavo in Puglia... Io avevo già salvato un cane un gatto un ragno un coniglio e altri animali... Ben prima di arrivare in Italia.. e dover spiegare la testa di fronte alle vostre millenaris cultura di evoluzione... Per cui oggi consiglio a tutti i popoli le etnie... Che arrivano in Italia e in questa Europa.... Poiché Io provengo da un resoconto un prodotto di assemblaggi di varie etnie... Prima che voi riusciate ad integrarvi... Poiché quella signora questa signora donna alden ora mi aveva sempre messo un certo timore .. con il suo modo di fare ma rispettava mia nonna .. ogni pomeriggio mia nonna si ricava da lei a prendere il caffè.... Io non ho mai assistito a una loro conversazione... Ma ho imparato a esercitare in moltissime persone lo stesso timore che lei mi provocava...era una persona molto forte per cui penso anche dovuta il rispetto che aveva verso mia nonna e il rispetto che mia nonna le contracambiava... La rendeva una persona alquanto magica.... Viveva da sola e nessuno del vicinato si permetteva di mancarle di rispetto... Se non quando trovavano i suoi animali incustoditi...poiché l'imbecillità degli impotenti di fronte ad autorità ben più superiori sono nulle è l'unica soluzione che trovano e appunto questa....eccovi spiegato perché ho morsicato la mano Al Cantagallo quando minacciò il cane è mio figlio....
