When I was a kid all of us kids wanted to push dirt with a bulldozer. Still do.

Don't know if I could run one like that, ones I used to run had the cables for the blade and sticks that you had to be strong as a gorilla to work ! 😊 Shows ya how old I am ! Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍

Ken Gamble my first time pushing dirt was on the same kind. Pony motor to start it. Cables all rusty and loose. I ended up making the ground into a very nice moto cross track. Thankfully I was just pushing dirt to a loader that was filling trucks. They fixed it later.

Looks like it's drying out down there. What's your weather been like? Up here, we get a little taste of spring, then winter pops up again. Hasn't affected crane work too much. At least I'm still able to get a few videos a week uploaded.

It seems you're cutting a lot of dirt out of the dam. Will it be replaced, or was there more than enough to begin with?

Great video Chris I sure would love operate that Dozer. Always wanted to operate one but never had the chance. Operated many other large machines on the railway but that was my dream. Guess I will never get the chance now before I am passed to the big land beyond LOL.

Wayne Rogers I bought a TD7 dozer last year to use on our property and to do some small paid jobs. If you were near I would definitely let you run it. It's one thing to run a dozer and another to actually know how to grade with it. That's what I'm trying to learn now. I've watched all your Dozer vids Chris

D, too much speed is the biggest mistake people make when trying to finish grade with a dozer. Speed comes with seat time. Once you get a feel for your machine, you'll be knocking 10ths off pretty easily. I've seen guys running like they're trying to blow the tracks off. The whole time thinking they are getting something done. When in reality they are burning fuel, making noise and making a mess. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

I like riding along too,..but the GoPro camera's lens angle doesn't give a true picture of the work you're doing, or, have done, does it Chris? Here's where i would like to see the view from your Drone's camera.

Seth carpenter no, I think he said in one of the first videos of the dozer that it's one of his friends that let him borrow it.

Always good to see a dozer video. Fascinated by them for some reason. I understand that the outflow pipes were extended but missed out on why it is being done. Taking the dirt off the top of the backside to cover the extended outflow seems like robbing Peter to pay Paul.
@letsdig186 жыл бұрын
they are going to add dirt to the entire dam and the owner just really want these pipes covered and the grade blended.. Do what they want job! lol

GREAT video, Chris ! Great camera point of view. What really blows my mind is how you would Estimate and Quote such a project. I know it is a matter of how far a given machine can move a given number of yards of material in a given amount of time, but it still boggles my mind. It is a fascinating project. You should do before and after drone views of the large sized jobs. sdh in CT

Good video Chris. Did you walk in the slope after of is the grading guy coming back to finish up loose ends when you got done? We have a cab version of that same machine. Like it for fine grading but bulk pushing I want the D6H. More butt to push a full blade.

My plant op experience is limited to cranes and telehandler. When taking a cut what is your looking at? Would you manage to comment / explain in a video. Thanks

Love your channel and the content that you provide. Keep up the great work!!! Love when you hop in all the machines cause you know how to drive them well. Jusr was asking to see when are you going to shoot another video on your new shop??? Didn't know if it's completely done inside and out??? Keep up the great work!!!👍👍👍👍

When your pad bolts are giving more traction than your pads, I'd say it's time for some new pads lol. How you like it? I had a d6m for a wile and didn't fall in love with it by any means.

What he is doing is pulling extra dirt off slope of pond to fill in over a pipe he extended for the overflow of the pond.
