Oh, one of the coolest things that they have at blockbuster that i didn't mention in my video is an actual disc buffer machine. you know what im talkin about? you put your fucked up game with a million scratches or whatever in the machine and they push a button and it goes "WURRRRURURRRURRRR" and then it takes all the scratches out. Game Crazy (as far as i know) used to be the only other place that had one of these and it was super useful.

video stores in general were sad to see go. i grew up renting vhs tapes at a little private video place (personally owned and managed not a chain store) and the guy who ran it was fucking hilarious in the horror section next to all the freddy/jason/hellraiser/horror shit was a big ass vhs copy of Mariah Carreys "Glitter" with a bright green HORROR sticker on it. even as a child it was damn funny and still is to this day.

I still remember it had a note saying "Opening next month" then a week later it changed to "coming soon" 2 months later still unchanged.
