an operator has so much more "touch" with traditional controls. you can feel the resistance through the knobs. the joystick is for novices.

Agreed, and this looks a lot more complicated than the knobs, with this it seems every time you changed directions it'd take 20 minutes to get all the functions set up before you could start grading back across

Nah I’ve run both, my 12m doesn’t have the grade control/auto features. And compared to my old grader with traditional controls/ a rack, the joystick is better. You have to relearn running a grader but once you do it’s better.

My question but I'm a G and H wannabe but if that computer don't work is the machine down or can you manually do it. How machanic friendly because seem more eletric stuff harder to find in wire harnesses ect tearing the seat apart dash ect. When the H you can track the valve itself under the cab and hydro over hydro and the H you got a level in the dash a bubble level but works if the machine is level or on side or the other but putting it in first and control the deceleration by foot and such for slicing rolling and siding a cut instead or grubbing so to say a lot of guys I knew when to M and shortly after when to the deeres due to power and such my self the 163 6x6 with the heavy front helps slice pull and push but that's me the weight of the front axle helping keep the blade down instead lifting the light front ends plus the push block weight on the front

Thank you. Been looking for info on tech and controls on new motor grader. Currently in a 2019 12m series 3. I have about 15 hours seat time. Overwhelming is an understatement
