Music, Nature. The things I love more. A woman I've never met, and the one I love. I wish that wind brings you part of my love and I wish that it brings to me your voice to warm my heart.

youtube algorithm sends me dozens of vids with ‘binaural beats’ and ‘isochronic tones’ to support my mental health. I find this one with some crickets and a beautiful voice.

Just rediscovered this after almost a decade due to Cat's closing song on The Great. First time I saw it/listened, I put on the best headphones I owned and went on a journey with her. Just did the same thing this time and I love every guitar-pick drag and every authentic pause and for a moment remembered what it was like to play for myself and lose myself in it and the love of playing. Thank you Cat and for posing this again. Brings on all the secret memories of those perfect unexpected conversations and moments and coffee house best-friends-for-a-moment-that-will-surely-last-forever-but-definitely-won't-but-that's-OK-because-we-shared-that-moment...tears for those moments are never wasted. Cheers

The song starting at 7:36, titled "You" on this release (the track before "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"), and reprised on track 9, was later titled "The Moon" on The Greatest album release. The Memphis Rhythm Band and live version with Dirty Delta Blues band were essentially the same as Chan's here, just a bit more polished with more tasty guitar fills. One of my favorites. Here, Chan seems to be working out some of her well known issues with stage fright. Seems like her entire style changed after this recording. By 2006 she began singing more with her jaw jutting out fiercely, experimenting with vocal interpretations and even dancing around. A whole new Chan came out of these trees.

The Paralex View it changed bc she stopped drinking. she was sober for the next album. you are free she was struggling to keep her head above water not just with addiction but mental illness. ...I love it when it's just her n her silvertone.
