Denise, what an incredible human being, to cover the cost of major heart surgery for a puppy that you are fostering is a wonderful, loving, generous, big-hearted thing to do. I hope that PAWS managed to raise enough in donations that Denise didn't have to take the full cost on herself. What a lady.

Had a puppy about7 years ago with swimmer legs, some medical tape, and a few heavy boxes to make a walking track and she was able to walk normally. I used the medical tape because it would be gentle on her, and basically used it to pull her legs under her instead of letting them splay out, and then used the boxes for her to walk between to work the muscles in the way they should go instead of out. A couple of weeks of physio like that and she was fine! A neighbour adopted her. She was my good boy's granddaughter.

This is old, but I almost had to give my dogs up for adoption after they ate spaghetti sauce with garlic and onion powder in it. I had to rush them to the after hours vet, and it cost $500
@Gaius__2 жыл бұрын
Easily avoided by getting pet insurance. It'll cost between 20 and 50 bucks a month, on average, which of course is not super-cheap, but you won't break the bank either. It's definitely better than a thousand-dollar vet bill ... or a ten grand bill, which is not all that uncommon, if the little fellow has something weird and rare.

Regarding Chris's illegal U-turn near the beginning: based on my experiences in New South Wales, it is illegal to cross double white lines _unless you really want to._ You are also required to have an empty disposable drink container with a picture of a polar bear wearing sunnies in the front passenger seat - or possibly down by where the front passenger's feet would go, if it weren't for all the empty containers and other assorted items.

Sounds like the right thing to do with Jonti the cat, even though he's been given the injections and the wound is properly protected it's a good idea just to keep him at the clinic overnight in order that he gets plenty of rest and there's somebody on hand just in case while the whole healing process begins.
