She's had a rich life now; I'm sure she is tired. She doesn't "have to perform" just work her natural energy. We all get slower and greyer. I can't imagine the strain on her back, hips and legs to walk A LOT. Rest is necessary. She's not going to be able to keep it up forever, bless her little heart. Bless you and her; and the person who made the decision to let her live.

I had a cat who was injured while with his previous owner. She had him on her lap while working on one of those big old sewing machines that had all the cogs underneath (that's the only kind of machine I could imagine it was, I was only probably 12 at the time), his tail got caught up in it all and he was trapped. She had to call out the firebrigade to free him and he had his tail amputated at the vets. They then moved away and we ended up with the most beautiful tail-less cat which I loved. He was even in the papers with his traumatic story. Poor boy😢

I love Faith,' what a brave and amazing dog! As this was her retirement party, I was hoping to see her get a retirement gift, ...a harness with front wheels to make her retirement years a bit more comfy and easier on her back. I've often wondered why this was not an option for her at an early age. Never the less, I'm in awe of her courage and determination to tackle life, overcome all odds, and become such an inspiration to so many.! God bless her, and her owners too, for never giving up on her. And thanks Chris, for sharing this amazing dog's story! ☺❤🤗

Somewhere in the information that I've seen or read about her, I read that they tried to do the wheels on her early on and she just didn't want it. she didn't take to it. she wanted trying to walk.

I also thought that - she was crying in anxiety a little bit since she wasn't ae to perform what they wanted from her (chase) and was sitting down constantly... I know she didn't want the wheelchair but I hole they at least tried it over and over since she was really strugling and might have been in pain at the end of her life.

Awe, poor little sweet faith. Walking like that must've been SO painful in her senior years. You can really tell by the way she whimpers and sits down after she gets to the point where it gets unbearable to walk. Sweet little girl may you rest in peace. 😭 As someone who has a 12.6 year old Pomeranian, can't tell you how depressed I have been getting that my boy is aging. I would give anything I could give in order to let him live as long as I do. He is my first dog I got him the day I moved out of my parent's house 12 years ago. He's the best thing that ever happened to me.

It's really amazing how older dogs can still sometimes show youthful energy. There's an elderly dog I know who wags her tail so hard and tries to bound around despite arthritis making just standing up a slow, painful process.

As a kid between 5-7, some people in our area, had a mom, standard chihuahua with pups no front legs on mom and two pups, they climed the stairs to the upstair apt above the store front. By themselves...I've never forgot those cute babies. 😊

I'm so grateful that I've discovered Bondi vet, and for amazing stories like that of Faith's. Chris you need to watch the hoof GP from Scotland, learn some cow hoof trimming techniques! although he uses a mechanical crush to restrain the cows (he mostly services commercial dairies), there might be some way to incorporate his techniques in what you have to do.

That's promising because she won't need to be taught to use her prosthetic foot. It'll be automatic. I'm so happy for both Nina and Marcus. Nina loves Marcus so much and Marcus is such a wonderful dog. And happy his tumor isn't tje aggressive cancerous kind. Better to not have it at all, but it could be worse. Hopefully, it will not return. Is Gretel the first ever female that Dr. Chris has not captured the heart? Oh, wait. There is the Chi Chi who bit him in the office too. I so enjoyed watching Dr. Chris tackling Gretel. I said outloud, "WHAT IS HE DOING?" He is ballsy! He does stuff that could hurt him! ❤🌸🌹.

I believe the owners tried that early on and she wouldn't tolerate it she'd rather use her legs than rely on wheels. Sadly she passed away in 2014 just before her 12th birthday

I remember my dog had lumps forming all over her body we weren’t that considered due to her age we expected it but she had a really bad one form under her underarm we’ve removed it 1-2 times but it kept coming back till it just kept growing and growing till it burst one day and then she passed away. I really really hope the dog at 42:40 doesn’t have the lump grow back cuz I don’t want the fosters/owners doesn’t feel that sadness

Faith was amazing, brave, inspirational and adorable. The question of a trolley for her upper body is answered by pointing out that unless a puppy gets the trolley BEFORE learning to walk upright, it's highly unlikely it would adapt. Instead, it would carry on trying to walk upright, carrying the trolley with it, which would be much worse. Once Faith's body was adapted that way, all a trolly would have done would be to add a cumbersome weight to her, which she would fight against, and which might very well have harmed her. As it is she lived 12 years, in a happy home with an owner who adored her. To those of you who suggested she was kept that way for fame and financial gain... SHAME ON YOU. Its absolutely clear that was never the case. Faith was a beloved friend and a well treated pet. Run in Heaven on all four legs, Faith.❤❤❤
