Terrific rendition!!! There is a serious lesson within that song. Tried to make certain my children had my attention...and my time. Thank you for an excellent performance.

So reminiscent of early Judy Collins, when up-tempo songs were part of her regular repertoire.

You know Tara, what I Love about you is that you’re a style of your own, theirs no label to attach to you. It’s your personal affect that makes your presentation yours. The Story telling is a gift, flavored and seasoned, sprinkled with Tara, Godspeed Madame, Hoorah Aloha Ben.

Hi, Tara. Thank you for choosing this song. Harry Chapin is one of my favorite artists. His music brings back memories of singing his songs with a group of friends, telling the amazing stories that he did through his music. "Cat's in the Cradle" is one of his most known songs. The lyric sheets online don't always get the lyrics right. The first two stanzas are about the boy as a child growing up, and *he* (the young boy) asks his father, "When you coming home, Dad?", since the child longs to see (and spend time with) his father. The next two stanzas are about the child having grown into an adult - first having returned from college and then having taken a job, moved away, gotten married, with children. For those stanzas, the question is, "When you coming home, Son?", because the *father* is the one who wishes he could see his son more often. That parallel is what explains the father's realization: "And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me / He'd grown up just like me / My boy was just like me." A father who failed to put his one son first through life can expect only the same treatment - in other words, a son who won't put his father first, either. The beauty of this song is that it reminds us to place value on and spend time with the people we love in our life.

You've very talented with the guitar and your voice is beautiful but the pace was a little fast. Slow it down a bit and you'd nail this classic I grew up listening to.
