I won’t touched any of my pets like that as it’s not normal. I choose to be a responsible pet owner and keep them from having litter unnecessarily.

My cat Toby was neutered at about 9 months. I got him in 2019 right before the pandemic. He was 3 months old, solid grey. A year ago I had to have him put to sleep. He starting straining when he had to urinate. Hardly anything came out, just drops of urine with blood. He wasn't himself. He started becoming withdrawn. I took him to a vet and they told me that this was common in male cats. They gave him antibiotics and told me to change his cat food. Toby got better and was his old self again. But, about 2 weeks after initial vet visit he started straining again and hiding. This went on for about 2 days. He was moaning. He wouldn't drink or eat. I called the vet and they said he was probably blocked because he wasn't peeing at all. They said it would be about 2 grand. I didn't have it. I started to google blocked cats. I read how painful it was for cats. I knew I had to do something. I didn't want him to suffer. I knew I had to act fast. So I found a animal clinic that would euthanize him. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. The whole experience felt so surreal. Putting him in a carrier to take him to be put to sleep. The drive over there, was so hard. Signing a piece of paper so they could put essentially kill my cat. I couldn't stay there while they did it. I just couldn't. I have another cat now who's about a year old. I'm reluctant to have him fixed because I just can't go through that again.

Wow!!! Heaven sent information. Went to my vet today to make spay appointments for our two litter mate kittens.... Harmony & Sweetie.... They're 9 months.. The vet closed earlier than I realized so no appointment was made today... And tonight I find this perfect video with everything I needed to know.... Answered all my question and concerns.... We will wait until after 12 months old... No more occasional dry food.... Will look into raw food...We Thank All Four of You for this incredibly valuable information 😊❤

We separate the cats . I refuse to spay or neuter them until at minimum a year. And I get grumbled at by humane society vets for waiting til then. But I know it's what is best for the cats.

Great information. Thank you. I just purchased Cat Calm from the Crazy Cat Ladies and it works like a miracle! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. (Multiple cat household.)

I was very hesitant about nuttering my cats cuz I knew that removing a body part especially a hormone producing body part had to have negative effects. But I couldn’t find any research about it everything and every one said to to do it.

Is there anyways to add hormones to their diet?

We neutered our cat at the age of a year and a half I think. We just wanted to make sure that his growth plates were done.

Hi there, I know I need to get my male cat neutered (he’s 10 months now) but I am worried he will associate leaving the house with the experience at the vet. He enjoys traveling and going on trips and I’m worried he will be scared to leave tye house after.

Best cat food on the market that you could suggest? New cat mom here and I want to give her the best food I can afford. I don't want to make it myself. Can you suggest brands? I tried Nulo, but she doesn't like it. I got her dry food, Orijen, but I want her to have more hydration. The vet I went to said I needed to feed her dry food for the plaque. So do you have suggestions on how to address dental health longterm?
