It very clearly, and directly, states and references GOD - as THE source of the Morning. I heard this when I was about 16 and getting ready for work as I looked at the sun's glancing rays on the wet garden. It didn't bother me that I had to leave for work and spend all day in dark surroundings, knowing someone had captured the beautiful moment and knew how I felt about it. I agree. I woke up this morning with this song in my head. I only heard it maybe once or twice on the radio as a kid, so it's not like I have it memorized. I never knew Cat Stevens was the author. I simply typed the first lyric which is all I remembered into the KZbin search engine and... presto! I got the chance to see the words and I have to admit, I cried. I had a lot of loss these past 2 years...a lot of stress. This moment today made me remember, something Holy is ALWAYS happening. Thanks for reading this. The compassion and tenderness of this piece is how I always want to remember God, and to remember to be grateful, even in sorrow.
