Brings back memories of my 12 year old self and a 17 yr old neighbor ..sitting on his porch and playing this on his guitar singing this song to me. He looked very much like Cat Stevens..too. He was always so sweet to my little teeny bopper self trying to hang with a cool musician dude of the neighborhood. He was so understanding...lol Days of our youth!

I wish I'd heard this song in the early 1970s, living in NYC. It was wild world, I smiled, but inside of myself I was an innocent child. Those things back then - I survived, but I was way too naive and innocent to even be living through that. I left NYC of course - went back to my country roots and lake and ocean.... grew up then. I love this song because it speaks to my heart.

What a unique voice he has. It's like some character actors have a unique voice and when you hear their voice on a TV show you immediately recognize that voice. That is what Cat Stevens has....a really unique voice unlike any other voice. I really enjoy listening to his incredible voice!

Saw him with full orchestra in the late seventies at the Boston Music Hall. Trolley broke down enroute to the venue. Made it just in time. Show started with animated film of Teaser and The Firecat cover. Child on a flying carpet. One of the most memorable shows I've ever seen. The Cat ruled.

I used to listen to Cat Stevens in a different world, a world without EP, CD, DVD. People loved real music and used real words like record and record player. Real musicians recorded great music. Their fans didn't need inane videos by insane directors. It was not a better world (politicians killed millions of people) but words are better than acronyms and the music was great!
