Hello Rone, life is short, ( 65 ) Gary Moore and others make it better , i bought a Les Paul Standard and amp 1.5 years ago just to express emotion with sound ( never played before ) as i did not want to paint & sculpt any more.Resently Sold the house and gave all away including guitar . Going full time slow travel, where i go the blues will be there to listen and lift me up, may even get an acoustic for the road and try again because these sounds all ways inspire me. This is the gift that Mr Moore and others share

Lyrics Used to be so easy to give my heart away But I found out the hard way There's a price you have to pay I found out that love was no friend of mine I should have known time after time So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you Used to be so easy to fall in love again But I found out the hard way It's a road that leads to pain I found that love was more than just a game You're playin' to win, but you lose just the same So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you So many years since I've seen your face Here in my heart, there's an empty space Where you used to be So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you Though the days come and go There is one thing I know I've still got the blues for you

I remember when I bought this cassette "Still Got The Blues" with other cassettes in '91. I went to work as a captain of a small crew boat stationed in Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf. We were not allowed to go shore as we were based in Iran and seen as infidels. I would ferry the oil rig crews to the various rigs, and then the 1st Gulf war happened. I had a small Sony Walkman and that Gary Moore cassette was my main thing and it kept me happy, satisfied and sane throughout that whole year!!! Thank you Mr. Gary Moore and may you RIP with all the angels in heaven!!!!

Truly a gut wrencher. This has to be one of the best guitar solos of all time, not to mention THE BEST EVER heartbreak song. Moore is brilliant and everything I hear this song I am completely transcended to another time, another place.

SRV hits you over the head. Gary Moore pierces your heart. He grabs your heart in a way that is deceptive. That Celtic romantic vibe.

Detractors are worth nothing. Cowardly keyboard warriors. They know nothing, they create nothing. They just attempt to destroy the work of others. Step over them as you would a cockroach, and keep walking. The world knows the name of Gary Moore, no-one knows their names nor ever will.

When Eric Clapton covers your songs, you know you made it. I still relish the memory of seeing Gary live in Balfast with Phil Lynott making a guest appearance - oh, and meeting Gary as well. What's the saddest thing? There's no-one up coming to replace these guys.

I started to listen to Gary Moore around 2 yrs ago, this is the first song I heard from him. Man I really am blessed to have heard this song, it is just so emotional and brilliant. What a pleasure to the ear and what a legend that wrote this song, no one can do these like him, he is the one and only, Gary Moore. RIP

Well, better late than never, but WTF have you been doing the last 74 years???
@watson7873 жыл бұрын
@@charlesjohnson9249 Well, doing the Beatles, and then the rest of the '60s & '70s stuff. Then after he family, I became a soundtrack fan. You know, most of GM;s slow stuff could easily be ''turned'' into this type of music. After all, the slow beat/pace is equivalent to that of many film scores, like Mark Knoupfler's theme to Local Hero, and he's a great guitarist too, as is David Gilmore, Brian May, Hank Marvin and Justin Hayward etc. This brings me to all the best film composers of our time, i.e., John Barry, James Newton Howard, John Williams, and of course my favorite,
