Thanks for watching. Yes, both versions of the retaining compound will create a water tight seal. Of course, it's all in how it's applied to how effective a seal it will be. Hi thanks for posting. Do you know if the Loctite 638 or 648 Retaining compound creates a water proof seal? I am wanting to retain a pulley with shaft inside a bearing
