This game is soooo good... Like, we saw a belligerent Japan being highly successful taking out the American Pacific fleet TWICE and that still wasn't enough to make a dent in the American juggernaut which is crazy but oh so very accurate! If you look at what Japan produced during the war and look at what the Americans produced naval wise, the Japanese throughout the war built as many aircraft carriers as the US did in 1941 alone... And then the Americans ramped up production. And for the last couple of turns, the Japanese literally ran out of steam as they don't have the capacity to support the weight of their own military machine. Those resources in china once dried up mean that the Japanese can hardly move. We saw a basically untouched Soviet Union unleash it's power after Germany spent itself trying to go everywhere it needed and never marshaling its entire resources. And Russia being a Land power had no need to spend builds on a naval force having instead a land army that can just overrun everything and the industry backing to support that large an army. And we saw an Italy doing as best as it could possibily hope for including building two carrier fleets in the med just collapse on its own because of the lack of German support after the surrender which shows how small the Italian industry base actually was that it could barely support itself on a peace standing let alone mobilizing. They couldn't even gear up completely as their lack of resources and efficiency means that they pretty much automatically collapse. Brilliant game! One question, what do you think of the new rules adding the home front modifier to propaganda actions? it makes the game a lot faster since as soon as you hit total war, you are on an aggressive timer but part of me prefers the more effective propaganda actions. It is not so bad on mobilization since you are generating enough flags to get two stability tests which likely succeed but when in total war, your flag generation is usually fairly low by then and well, Italy just auto fails 1x (1 die -2 modifier), Germany has a 1 in 36 chance of succeeding on the first try (double sixes) and the Brits, Americans and Russians a 2 in 27 chance (about 7%) of not failing (twin or tripple 6s).

That British breakthrough attack though, the soviets could have taken the loss on the infantry and kept the fortress. It would give them a +1 to their die.
