is stamina + block cost reduction on the rapier 100% necessary? would it work if i traded stamina for crit damage for example? im just wondering if trading the damage properties for passive safety affects the clear speed enough so you get hit unnecessarily because you wouldve sliced through the horde faster, if that makes sense. you're much better than me, i want to hear your thoughts about this.

I wouldnt say its necessary but adding one extra property wont affect clear speed enough to make a difference. While having the extra safety means that when you get into high pressure situations you want have any problems with being block broken which means its easier to do damage in those situations since you spent less time recovering. This means that your clear speed might even be better in situations where it really matters.

@@core7822 thank you for your insight, i will keep this in mind for the preparation for when i will finally ascend to the modded realm. as of right now i am still getting more comfortable with cata, although with 1000 hours behind my back i think i could give modded realm a shot sometime soon.

awesome vid. For anyone in future I don't think the build mentioned in Google Doc is 100% matches what build were running in this vid. Rapier has 4 Stamina shields and no extra stamina in the referenced build. Rapier has only 3 stamina by default. Also upon kill a tagged foe, 10 seconds attack speed whereas in the build crit has been taken. Anyway, thanks for the vid and I love the Rapier skin you used. I wish they would make it one day to live game.

Yeah the doc is for builds i would use in groupplay. I usually slightly tweak my builds for solos and post them in the description.

Does running true solo alter spawn rates at all? I know how intensity and such used to work in Legend and under, but I'm not sure how it goes in Cata.

Xsword feels too sluggish now. Perhaps Spear gives the best Horde clearing and elite killing?

I have Merc run with Bretonnian Longsword on my channel. Its probably his most flexible weapon damage wise.

Wouldn’t be called a true solo with bots around dumbass. Although with 2 grims, it would be a lot better, I agree. Might be impossible though.
